Sometimes, when we are discouraged by a difficult situation, anger does seem helpful, appearing to bring more energy, confidence and determination. And while it is true that anger brings extra energy, it eclipses the best part of our brain: its rationality. So the energy of anger is almost always unreliable. It can cause an immense amount of destructive, unfortunate behavior.
Joy and woe are woven fine,
A clothing for the soul divine;
Under every grief and pine ,
Runs a joy with silken twine.
It is right it should be so;
Man was made for joy and woe;
Through the world we safely go.
This is what should be done
By one who is skilled in goodness,
And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech.
Listen Listen to the sound of the bell
May it bring me back to my true self
May the hearer awaken from forgetfulness
And transcend all anxiety and sorrow
